currently a little lost in the world
but hoping to find myself again soon
I SAW THIS THE OTHER NIGHT ON TV!
So the little thing he’s spitting out is a type of plankton that emits a light when it’s threatened by predators. So, the tetra ate it, and it felt threatened, so it emitted this light which the tetra didn’t like (aka didn’t want to be spotted by other predators at night) so it spat it out!
Share a Coke with Martin and Benedict.. Wouldn’t really mind that.. :)
Was looking for my own name when I found these, purely coincidental.. don’t know how many countries has this drive from Coke Cola but these can be found in Norway.
Oh my God. Yes.
I WANT A TRUE HORROR MOVIE WHERE ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE INTELLIGENT AND DO ALL THE RIGHT THINGS AND TAKE ALL THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS BUT STILL WIND UP GETTING KILLED BY THE ANTAGONIST
NOTHING IS SCARIER THAN DOING EVERYTHING YOU CAN IN VAIN AND STARING IN THE FACE OF FUTILITY
(plus I would like not to yell at the characters for being dumb for once)
please watch the strangers
Robyn Lawley, Jada Sezer, and Gabi Gregg for Swimsuits For All.
Now THIS is how you sell a fucking bikini.
WHAT WHAT LEGIT CHUBBY GIRLS IN ADS?! NOT JUST HOLLYWOOD CHUBBY BUT FOR REALS CHUBBY THANK YOU BLESS
my favorite part about this ad is that it’s just a bikini ad, not a ‘plus size bikini’ ad
today these kids were talking and being really rude during a test so I finally fulfilled my dream of telling them off by yelling “I AM FAILING THIS CLASS AND YOU DILDOS AREN’T HELPING MY SITUATION, LET ME TAKE MY TEST” and it went dead silent for like two seconds and one person snickered and the teacher said “don’t you dare laugh, she’s absolutely right”
I’ve never had a school official back me up after calling someone a dildo.
a lot of people are burned out on emoticons but one that ill never get tired of is :> because it looks like youre being talked to by a friendly bird
I see it like
still a bird
Look a little young to drive, there, kiddo.

this guy is my twin, who is this human
I went to the mall, and a little girl called me a terrorist.
My name is Ela. I am seventeen years old. I am not Muslim, but my friend told me about her friend being discriminated against for wearing a hijab. So I decided to see the discrimination firsthand to get a better understanding of what Muslim women go through.
My friend and I pinned scarves around our heads, and then we went to the mall. Normally, vendors try to get us to buy things and ask us to sample a snack. Clerks usually ask us if we need help, tell us about sales, and smile at us. Not today. People, including vendors, clerks, and other shoppers, wouldn’t look at us. They didn’t talk to us. They acted like we didn’t exist. They didn’t want to be caught staring at us, so they didn’t look at all.
And then, in one store, a girl (who looked about four years old) asked her mom if my friend and I were terrorists. She wasn’t trying to be mean or anything. I don’t even think she could have grasped the idea of prejudice. However, her mother’s response is one I can never forgive or forget. The mother hushed her child, glared at me, and then took her daughter by the hand and led her out of the store.
All that because I put a scarf on my head. Just like that, a mother taught her little girl that being Muslim was evil. It didn’t matter that I was a nice person. All that mattered was that I looked different. That little girl may grow up and teach her children the same thing.
This experiment gave me a huge wakeup call. It lasted for only a few hours, so I can’t even begin to imagine how much prejudice Muslim girls go through every day. It reminded me of something that many people know but rarely remember: the women in hijabs are people, just like all those women out there who aren’t Muslim.
People of Tumblr, please help me spread this message. Treat Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Taoists, etc., exactly the way you want to be treated, regardless of what they’re wearing or not wearing, no exceptions. Reblog this. Tell your friends. I don’t know that the world will ever totally wipe out prejudice, but we can try, one blog at a time.
coming up next on white people solve racism
muslim women dont need your white saviour attitude, you might now finally realise what it’s like to be excluded from society because of a piece of garment but you’re never going to experience it in the way we do.
she literally worded this so well and so honestly and tried so hard not to be rude, she just tried to understand what you go through. she’s not trying to be a saviour, she’s trying to raise awareness. she never said she’d solve anything or experience it like you do. stop doing exactly what other people do to you and shut down someones ideas just because of their color or religion or anything. this is a valid and completely pure hearted thing.
It’s funny how people act like white people are the biggest douchebags, and then act like total asshats themselves, huh?
She did this to get a GLIMPSE into the shit Muslim women are put through. She never claimed total understanding; in fact she said that she “can’t even begin to imagine how much prejudice Muslim girls go through every day.” She ADMITTED that she doesn’t know everything these women go through, and yet she’s STILL attacked? I cannot fathom why it’s deemed “okay” to be prejudiced against white people, even when we try to understand what it is people of other ethnicities/skin tones/nationalities/religions/etc go through. If you want, we can stop trying to understand and let everyone wallow in their self-pity.
Welcome to tumblr
y’all need to shut the fuck up and just leave this girl ho /tried/ to do something good and tried to understand a bit of what people of muslim culture go through. She did nothing wrong so shut up
someone please stop the whites
y’all need to shut the fuck up and just leave this girl ho /tried/ to do something good
i’m an actual muslim. you’re an uneducated white girl. how bout you shut the fuck up and sit your pasty cum stained white cracker ass down before i hand it to you on a fucking plate!
ust leave this girl ho /tried/ to do something good and tried to understand a bit of what people of muslim culture go through.
here’s an idea!! instead of appropriating a religiously significant garment (which is ONLY for MUSLIM WOMEN) and parading yourself as some forward thinking feminist, how about you sit the fuck down and actually bother to listen to muslim women who experience discrimination a million times worse than this.
instead of OVERSHADOWING US, how about you LISTEN to us???
and by the way, you uneducated piece of shit, the “muslim culture” does not exist. “people of the muslim culture” do not exist. Islam is a religion, not a culture. Islam is the basis of hundreds of different cultures found on every continent, all unique and extremely different.
don’t oversimplify the problem that people of my religion face, all while advocating your mainstream white feminism, which only accounts for how white women experience the world, and actively erases the voice of people of color.
in conclusion: shut the fuck up before i bitch slap you so hard you smash into the surface of the fucking sun.
Can I please ask how saying all those horribly RUDE and RACIST comments makes you a better person than this woman? If she did something wrong, if she did something to offend your religion then you can politely correct her so that she doesn’t do it again! She was trying so hard to be polite and respectful and she obviously had good intentions. If what she did was wrong, then you at least have to keep that in mind. I’m not going to say that her experiment was right or wrong because I am not a worthy judge of that, but you know what? I didn’t know that women who wear a hijab were faced with crap like this, but I do now! Now I’m aware of this! Now I can stand up for other human beings and at least try to make the world a better place. Do you honestly feel like that was a good response to something like this? Please tell me why you think that being horribly mean, disrespectful, and quite frankly a jerk is ever the appropriate way to face a situation, especially when someone was TRYING THEIR BEST TO BE POLITE! I’m sorry that you have to go through a ton of crap everyday, but is spreading the crap going to help anyone? I can’t believe this. This is outrageous and it makes me sick. I just don’t understand how someone can wish they weren’t treated bad and then go treat other people just as badly?! I am so ashamed that this website is full of hypocrisy. If this post taught me anything, it’s that I can’t trust people when they say they stand for equality. This isn’t equality, this is chaos and we have a long LONG way to go.
